NAKED CITY BOOK
In collaboration with star Paul Burke, Heather-Rose has completed a book-length history of the 1960s TV series Naked City. This critically-acclaimed show was the first ever to be filmed entirely on location in New York City. Nearly forgotten today, the show marked a high point of artistic achievement in television.
For the book, Heather-Rose interviewed supporting actress Nancy Malone; Herbert C. Leonard, the executive producer; several writers, directors and crew members; and a number of well-known actors who appeared as guest stars, including Jack Klugman, Peter Falk, Robert Morse, Nehemiah Persoff and John Larch. Heather-Rose also interviewed Jules Dassin, director of the 1948 film The Naked City, which served as inspiration for the series.
The book will include an episode guide with full cast listings obtained from the original production files housed in the UCLA Film and Television Library.
